Hope and Healing
We believe that hope is not something that you have, it is something that you do. Hope is about action that you initiate to create a sense that change is possible. It means understanding the barriers to change and thinking of new ways to go around them, over them or through them, drawing on community and therapeutic resources to do so.
Sometimes that trek is about changing our relationship to ourselves or others. Sometimes the process is about coming into contact and finding deep compassion for painful emotions that we have been too scared to face. At other times embodying hope is about letting go of the old and grieving what is lost, even while you are still in the process of building something new. Our job is to walk beside you on your journey towards healing, from the darkest, most hopeless moments to those filled with a renewed sense of optimism and self-compassion. Our job is to hold that hope and nurture the belief that within you are the seeds of growth and healing. We partner with you to create the fertile ground from which the seeds can grow by providing a safe, compassionate and deep listening space.
We respectfully acknowledge that our healing work takes place on the traditional unceded homelands of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Səl̓ílwətaʔ (Tsleil-Waututh) & Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish) Nations. We are committed to understanding the lasting impacts of colonization and working to actively decolonize ourselves and our practices.
