Natasha Bailey
I have 29 years of work experience not just as a counsellor but also as a life skills facilitator helping people develop and pursue goals to improve their life/relationship satisfaction, self-acceptance, self-compassion and personal growth. Besides a Masters in Clinical Counselling I also have a Masters in Women’s Studies and a Post-Graduate Certificate in Coaching. I spent 15 years of my life in Dublin, Ireland so I have a strong sense of connection to this part of the world and first-hand knowledge of the immigrant experience. I believe in the idea that emotion changes emotion and that ownership of and compassion towards our own and others' emotional experience supports different ways of seeing and being in the world and with those close to us. I am drawn to emotion-focused and attachment-based approaches with an interest in family of origin issues, relationship counselling, anxiety treatment, counselling for couples who are parents and counselling for folks going through mid-life.
